The user base for this project consists of therapists in skilled nursing facilities that use an app to manage their care workflow. The app has to be able to work offline due to poor or no connectivity in some facilities, Which means that all data required to complete the task must be stored locally, and synced to the cloud once the therapist completes the care and documentation process.
Conducting interviews with users and customer support revealed the following pain points about the old sync screen.
Make sync functionally accessible from any screen of the app by creating a dedicated button on the app’s sticky header.
User journey analysis revealed an opportunity to automate a tedious multi-step process of selecting patients before syncing. This was done by pulling the list of patients from the therapist’s schedule for the day.
Make sync work as a background process allows the user to perform other tasks while waiting for the sync to complete.
Add a popover that will allow the user to resolve data discrepancies.

This case study covers a small fraction of a much larger scope of redesigning a complete suite of legacy products.
I lead the Product design and Front-end development on the entire scope of project end to end.
