AI Car Shopping Bot

Finding new exciting ways to engage car shoppers using a chat bot.

New car shoppers spand most of their time online reaserching. (Autotrader)
AI chatbots are constantly getting better at finding out what information the users are looking for.
In some cases displaying the information required to satisfy the user's need using conversational UI can lead to information overload. This project aims to identify these cases and offer better alternatives.

Optimized User Journey: specific car model

The Model Detail View aggrigates the key model attributes and presents them in a familiar interactive format.

Model Detail Anatomy

Trim dropdown: Updates the Price, MPG, and Photo Gallery.
Photo Gallery: will show both exterior and interior shots.
Suggested Action: Dynamic call to action based on captured conversation context. Help lead the user to KPIs.

Initial Wireframe Testing Results

Early user testing got a very positive feedback overall.
Obersving mobile tests revealed that users where covering the Photo Gallery with their hand while using the Trim dropdown. As a result the Trim dropdown was moved under the Photo Gallery.

The initial prototypes earned the companey partnership with 3 major car manufactors.
